Data sources

Methodology: every live figure is fetched on a scheduled job and baked into static HTML. Values reflect the most recent successful pull, not a request-time feed. Each source is fault-isolated: a dead feed or missing API key is recorded in the status table below and that section degrades to last-good data or a friendly empty state. No forecasts, editorial adjustments, or proprietary models are applied to the numbers.

Congress.gov API

Presidential nominations and enacted laws for the current Congress. Attribution with a link back to congress.gov. Congress.gov data is a U.S. Government work in the public domain.

FRED API (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis)

Unemployment rate (UNRATE), Consumer Price Index (CPIAUCSL), real GDP (GDPC1), and the federal funds rate (FEDFUNDS). Economic data is courtesy of FRED, which does not endorse this site.
